Jinse Finance reported that the Office of the United States Attorney for the District of Massachusetts has filed a civil forfeiture lawsuit seeking to recover approximately $584,700 in Tether (USDT) stablecoins. These tokens belong to an Iranian national who provided technology to the Iranian military. According to the Department of Justice, in January 2024, three U.S. soldiers were killed at a military base in northern Jordan. Subsequent analysis revealed that an Iranian Shahed drone, which used the Sepehr navigation system from SDRA, was responsible for the attack. Abedini is accused of providing material support to a foreign terrorist organization resulting in death, as well as conspiring to procure sensitive U.S. technology for military drones.
