US Media: The Federal Reserve Will Begin Interest Rate Cuts at the September Meeting

金色财经2025/09/15 09:09

Jinse Finance reported that, according to US media, there is a widespread expectation that the Federal Reserve will begin its interest rate cut process at the monetary policy meeting scheduled for September 16-17. A weakening job market has further strengthened market expectations for this round of rate cuts. The CME FedWatch Tool predicts a high probability that the Federal Reserve will cut rates by at least 25 basis points in September. In addition, several central banks around the world will also make interest rate decisions this week, involving economies that account for about two-fifths of global economic output. The Federal Reserve is expected to cut rates by 25 basis points, with Canada and Norway likely to follow suit, while some other economies may act more cautiously. (CCTV News)
