Meteora announces MET tokenomics: 48% of supply will be in circulation at TGE

BlockBeats News, October 8, according to official sources, the Solana ecosystem liquidity protocol Meteora has announced the MET tokenomics, with 48% of the total supply to be in circulation at TGE. According to Meteora's plan, 20% of the tokens will be allocated to Mercurial stakers, 15% to Meteora users (via the LP incentive program), 3% to Launchpads and Launchpool ecosystem, 2% to off-chain contributors, 3% to the Jupiter staking incentive program, 3% to centralized exchanges, market makers, etc., and 2% to M3M3 stakers. Of the remaining portion, 18% will be allocated to the team, with a 6-year linear vesting, and 34% will be allocated to the Meteora reserve, also with a 6-year linear vesting.

Meteora has launched the Liquidity Distributor, which distributes airdrops in the form of liquidity positions instead of traditional direct airdrop claims. Users can earn trading fee income without selling tokens, by "selling" airdrops through wide-range liquidity. Of the 48% circulating supply at TGE, 10% will be distributed via the Liquidity Distributor, and users can choose to participate at TGE. This mechanism helps Meteora bootstrap MET liquidity without the team providing tokens, while the community provides liquidity and earns trading fee income.
