The programmable open finance Layer-1 blockchain Pharos Network has launched the AtlanticOcean testnet, achieving milestone progress in blockchain infrastructure scale, memory, and speed, and expanding its ecosystem from a regional pilot to a globally connected network.
Just as the Atlantic Ocean once connected continents through trade and exploration, Pharos’ AtlanticOcean testnet aims to become a bridge for global on-chain liquidity. It enables institutions, developers, and partners to test the circulation of real-world assets (RWA) across borders, laying the foundation for global ecosystem expansion ahead of the mainnet launch.
Since the launch of its first testnet in May, Pharos has recorded nearly 3 billion transactions across 23 million blocks, with a block time of 0.5 seconds;at the same time, a global validator network has been deployed, achieving full compatibility and reliable block replay with the Ethereum Dencun SPEC, along with multiple optimizations including parallel execution, enhanced caching, and low-memory node releases. Collaborations with partners such as Morpho Labs, Bitverse, and Euclid, as well as integrations with OKX Wallet, Bitget Wallet, Hemera Explorer, and Goldsky, have further validated the network’s maturity for large-scale, real-world scenario testing.
On this basis,AtlanticOcean introduces major upgrades: alignment with the mainnet, an official PoS token economic model with a total supply of 1 billion, convenient staking and validator voting; a modular architecture that decouples consensus, execution, node, and storage layers; pipeline-based consensus enhancements; hybrid parallel execution based on DAG and Block-STM V1; cache-friendly storage provided by PharosDB; and an expanded developer toolkit to support more composable and complex testing scenarios.
Wish Wu, co-founder and CEO of Pharos Network, stated: “Based on what we have built, we have validated the foundation of Pharos: superior performance, fair access, and scalable execution. AtlanticOcean takes this even further. From now on, Pharos goes global. Before real-world assets go on-chain, we aim to push the boundaries of scale, memory, and speed to the extreme. We are focused on providing a free-flowing digital rail for liquidity between global institutions, protocols, and individuals.”
Pharos plans to advance the activation of various testnet features in phases. To ensure continuity and a smooth transition, the first testnet will coexist with AtlanticOcean for the coming months, allowing ecosystem partners to migrate gradually. During this period, outstanding community validators will be invited to join the AtlanticOcean and future mainnet validator sets. Subsequent phases will continue to expand the network and advance mainnet preparations, with the goal of launching the mainnet in Q1 2026—a key milestone in Pharos’ journey toward globalized, on-chain real-world asset finance.
RWA partners, institutions, and developers are invited to explore, test, and contribute.
About Pharos Network
Pharos Network is a next-generation financial Layer 1 that connects real-world assets (RWA), traditional finance (TradFi), and cross-chain liquidity into a programmable network. Pharos provides ultra-fast execution and neutrality for real-world application scenarios, covering asset tokenization, high-throughput DeFi, and enterprise-grade finance. The project is supported by leading global investment institutions such as Hack VC and Faction VC. For more information, visit www.pharosnetwork.xyz
