Referral link FAQs
Q1: What is the maximum number of
referral
links that can be created for each private elite trading program?
A: Each CFD private elite trading program supports up to
10 independent
referral
links. Elite traders can distribute different links to different communities, affiliate channels, or partners for channel tracking and conversion analysis.
Q2: If a
referral
link is deleted, will copiers
who
already joined be affected?
A: No. Deleting or disabling a link only prevents new users from joining through that link going forward. Copiers who have already successfully joined are not affected in any way.
Q3: Can a limit be set on the number of users per
referral
link?
A: Yes. When creating a link, you can set a separate user limit for each link (1–100 users). Once the limit is reached, new users will no longer be able to join through that link.
A: Yes. This toggle can be enabled when creating a link. Once enabled, only new users who complete registration through that link can copy trade. This setting cannot be changed after creation, so please choose carefully.
Private password FAQs
Q5: What is a private
password
? What are the format requirements?
A: A private password is a verification code automatically generated by the system when a referral link is created, and it's used together with the link. It supports a combination of numbers and letters, up to
8 characters. Users can manually enter the password on the elite trader's profile page to complete verification and join copy trading.
Q6: Can the
password
and the link be used separately?
A: Yes. Users can either go directly to the profile page through the referral link to start copy trading, or manually enter the password on the elite trader's profile page to verify and access the settings page. Both methods achieve the same result.
Q7: What should I do if the
password
shows as invalid after entering it?
A: Please check the following:

Whether the password is correct (note that it is case-sensitive);

Whether the link or program has already reached its user limit;

Whether the app has been updated to version 2.90.0 or later;

Whether there are channel code restrictions (some affiliate channels require the account's channel information to match).
Slot rules explained
Q8: What is the total number of slots for a private elite trading program? A: By default, up to
100 copiers are supported, and this is calculated completely independently from public elite trading program slots. The same elite trader can run 1 public program and 1 private program at the same time.
Q9: How are slots used up? Are slots released after a copier cancels copy trading? A: As soon as a user successfully copy trades through a referral link, 1 slot is used.
Slots are not automatically released after copy trading is canceled. To rejoin, the user must use a new valid link or password.
Q10: What is the relationship between the slot limit for each link and the total slot limit? A: The total slot limit is the overall cap for the program (100 by default), and each link can have its own separate limit. The actual number of available slots is the smaller of the two values. Any successful copy trade through either link counts toward the total slot limit.
Copier removal rules
Q11: Can elite traders proactively remove copiers?
A: Yes. Unlike public elite trading programs, private elite trading supports elite traders proactively removing copiers. Steps: Go to the Elite Trader Center → the "CFD (private)" tab → the copiers list → open the details page → tap "Remove."
Q12: Are there any asset amount restrictions for the removal action?
A: No. The removal action is not restricted by the amount of assets in the copier's account, and elite traders can perform it at any time.
Q13: Can a removed copier rejoin?
A: Yes, but they need to obtain a new valid referral link or password and will take up a new slot.

Q14: Can private and public programs run at the same time?
A: Yes. The same elite trader can run up to 1 public program and 1 private program at the same time, with completely independent data tracking that doesn't affect each other.
Q15: Can users on an older app version join a private program?
A: No. We recommend updating the Bitget app to
version 2.90.0 or later; otherwise, you may not be able to join properly or see the private tag.
Q16: Can a private program be recreated after it's closed?
A: Yes. Each person can run up to 1 private program at a time. After closing an existing program, you can immediately create a new private program.
