AltLayer is a protocol for rollups that's open and decentralized. The goal is to improve security, decentralization, interoperability, and fast finality in existing rollups. One of its unique features is Restaked rollups, which combines the convenience of popular rollup stacks with the power of EigenLayer's restaking mechanism.
AltLayer's main innovation is Restaked rollups, which are a set of three Actively Validated Services (AVSes) that are created on-demand. These AVSes offer faster finality, decentralized sequencing, and verification of state correctness for rollups. AltLayer also provides a no-code RaaS launchpad that allows developers to customize and launch a rollup quickly. The RaaS supports multiple chains, virtual machines, sequencing services, rollup SDKs, and data availability layers.
In addition, AltLayer introduces ephemeral rollups, which are resource-optimized rollups designed for dApps that expect a surge in demand. They can be quickly spun up, used as needed, and disposed of, offering the benefits of both application-specific and general-purpose Layer 1 rollups.
AltLayer aims to provide a decentralized system with verifiers and sequencers, fast transaction finalizations, interoperability, and customizability. The ALT token is the native utility token of the AltLayer ecosystem. It serves as an economic bond, allows for governance, and can be used to pay for transaction fees and other services within the AltLayer ecosystem. Early adopters and supporters will receive an airdrop of ALT tokens.
$ALT has a total supply of 10,000,000,000. The current circulating supply of $ALT is 1,100,000,000.
