Chromia is a relational database and a blockchain in one, making it a relational blockchain. Relational database is a type of database that makes seeing, understanding, and querying related data from various sources easier. This, along with the fact that each dapp on Chromia runs on its own chain connected to the main chains, gives Chromia the ability to scale infinitely at least in theory.
Another unique feature of Chromia is its extremely flexible fee models. In contrast to most blockchains where users have to pay a certain amount of fee for their transactions to be processed, in Chromia, dapps have the freedom to design their own fee models. Dapp users can pay gas fees like other blockchains, pay fees in a subscription or freemium model, or not pay any fee at all.
