An Israeli Air Force reservist is suspected of using confidential information to profit from trading on Polymarket.
Foresight News reported, according to The Times of Israel, that a court in Tel Aviv revealed on Thursday that an Israeli Air Force reservist is suspected of using confidential information to make trades on the Polymarket prediction website regarding last year's war between Israel and Iran. The defendant, a former Air Force major, was charged last month along with an accomplice with serious security offenses, as well as bribery and obstruction of justice. They are suspected of trading on the timing of the first airstrike in the 12-day war launched by Israel in June 2025. The defendant's name remains confidential. After a successful prediction in June of last year, the two earned a total of $162,663, which they agreed to split equally. Last month, prosecutors filed charges against them in the Tel Aviv District Court and sought to detain them until the legal proceedings conclude.
