Ethereum Foundation researcher: VOPS and partial stateless nodes can reduce storage requirements by 25 timesForesight News reports that CPerezz, a researcher at Ethereum Foundation, introduced the “Validity-Only Partial Statelessness” solution (VOPS) at the EthCC[9] conference. He pointed out that the continuous expansion of Ethereum’s state has posed a long-term threat to decentralization by consistently raising the storage threshold for running full nodes. VOPS nodes only need to store four fields for each Externally Owned Account (EOA): address, Nonce, balance, and code flag (codeFlag), eliminating the need to store the complete contract code and storage tree, which can reduce node storage requirements by 25 times. This solution uses Verkle tree multi-proofs or zkVM-generated SNARK proofs to verify state transitions and updates the local account table through “State Diffs,” without executing the full block transactions. In addition, VOPS enables low-hardware nodes to maintain the mempool and connect to the FOCIL mechanism, ensuring that ordinary users can participate in transaction inclusion. CPerezz believes that VOPS serves as an intermediate stage for Ethereum on the path to full statelessness, balancing nodes’ self-verification capability with a low participation threshold.

US stocks move: Boosted by multiple positive factors, Tesla continues to rebound about 2% in pre-market tradingGlonghui, April 1st | According to reports, signs of easing tensions between the US and Iran have emerged, which is a core factor driving today’s rebound in global risk assets. Tesla, as a high-beta technology stock, directly benefits from this macro sentiment recovery. In addition, Musk confirmed on social media that FSD version 14.3 is already being tested among Tesla employees and is expected to be widely rolled out to the public this weekend (April 4–5). This marks a significant iteration of Tesla’s fully autonomous driving technology, and the market is highly focused on its implementation results. Furthermore, the Netherlands Vehicle Authority confirmed that Tesla FSD’s approval process “has entered its final stage.” If approval is obtained in the Netherlands in April, this is expected to pave the way for subsequent recognition in EU countries and holds major significance for Tesla’s expansion in the European market.

ING: Growth Driven by South Korean Semiconductors May WeakenGolden Ten Data reported on April 1 that Min Joo Kang, an economist at ING, stated that South Korea's semiconductor-driven economic growth might begin to slow from the second quarter. Although chip manufacturers have not yet faced significant shortages of raw materials due to the Middle East conflict, inventories of key inputs could be depleted over the next few quarters. "If supply disruptions persist, negative impacts may become apparent in the second half of 2026," she added. She also noted that even if the conflict ends within a few weeks, these disruptions could still restrain manufacturing activity and increase cost pressures. ING has lowered South Korea's GDP growth forecasts for the second and third quarters and revised its 2026 GDP growth expectation from the previous 2.2% down to 2.0%.
