Foresight News: Sui mainnet has been upgraded to V1.57.2, with the protocol upgraded to version 96. Other upgrade highlights include: Mysticeti v2 (Mysticeti fastpath) support has been enabled on the mainnet; nodes (validator nodes and full nodes) have added CheckpointArtifacts digest in the summary, which is currently enabled on the devnet for testing; gRPC has integrated GetCoinInfo into the new CoinRegistry system object; JSON-RPC has integrated coin metadata and total supply APIs into the CoinRegistry system object; support for Coin Registry has been added to the Query.coinMetadata API in GraphQL. A bug has been fixed: when a query uses variables to fill nullable parameters, if the variable is not provided (which is allowed), the query would fail. In the CLI command line tool, a bug has been fixed where the upgrade command would terminate early if the protocol version of the CLI binary was lower than the network version.

Foresight News reported, citing Vietnamese media VnEconomy, that Vietnam's Deputy Minister of Finance announced at a government press conference on Monday that the pilot program for cryptocurrency exchanges will issue up to five licenses, and the Ministry of Finance is formulating detailed regulations on taxation, compliance, and operational standards. Although companies are preparing their systems and holding preliminary discussions with officials, the Ministry of Finance has not yet received any formal applications. In addition, the Ministry of Finance is developing regulations covering taxation, accounting policies, and operational frameworks, stating that it hopes to issue at least one license to a company before 2026, with the timeline depending on the readiness of the enterprises.
