ETF Expert: Bitcoin Spot ETF could be approved at any time after January 2nd
ETF expert Nate Geraci stated on his social media platform that he has communicated with Valkyrie Funds co-founder Steven McClurg. The latter indicated that they have had very detailed discussions with the SEC regarding the structure of Bitcoin spot ETFs, and are "very close" to reaching a consensus. It is expected that Bitcoin spot ETFs will create new fund shares in cash. In addition, Nate Geraci said that the preparation work for launching ETF products and backend infrastructure are all in place, and the SEC may approve Bitcoin spot ETFs at any time after January 2nd.
