The NEAR ecosystem multi-chain network infrastructure "Octopus Network 2.0" is officially launched
According to official news, the first Cosmos SDK application chain Ottochain of Octopus multi-chain network ecosystem was officially launched on December 17. This means that the shared security service of NEAR Restaking and cross-chain service of NEAR-IBC proposed by Octopus Network are running stably, and Octopus 2.0 mainnet is officially online. The Octopus Network aims to provide blockchain with flexible rentable shared security services, cross-chain interoperability capabilities, one-stop infrastructure and comprehensive community support. It is reported that the newly added NEAR Restaking mechanism in Octopus 2.0 allows a portion of NEAR assets held by NEAR holders to be pledged for the NEAR Protocol, while also being able to pledge for application chains or middleware in the NEAR ecosystem centered around NEAR, obtaining multiple pledge rewards. It is currently the most capital-efficient way of pledging.
