Nexon launches $100 million dedicated Web3 fund for MapleStory Universe
On December 20th, according to nftgators, Japanese video game publisher Nexon announced the establishment of a $100 million Web3 fund for MapleStory Universe.
The publisher is building a Web3 game economy system, which includes a large-scale multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) with blockchain, a mobile version of the game, a software development toolkit (SDK) for developers to build decentralized applications, and a sandbox platform for players and creators to build their own blockchain games. According to the announcement, MapleStory Universe will integrate with Polygon Supernets by March 2024.
