Starknet roadmap update: Voting for deploying the v0.13.0 version update on the mainnet will begin on January 10
On January 2nd, Starknet updated its 2024 roadmap. In the first quarter, it will reduce transaction fees on the v0.13.0 testnet and introduce a new transaction type called v3 transactions. Users can pay transaction fees with STRK. Additionally, on January 10th, Starknet will open a community vote to deploy these updates on the mainnet.
Furthermore, Starknet plans to use EIP-4844 to reduce Ethereum Layer1 data availability costs and intends to introduce a transaction fee market in version v0.14.0 to speed up transaction processing.
