Cryptocurrency Exchanges Surpass $1 Trillion in December Trading Volume, Reaching New High Since September 2022
Data from The Block's dashboard indicates that the monthly trading volume of cryptocurrency exchanges exceeded $1 trillion in December, reaching $1.1 trillion. The data also reveals that the last time the monthly trading volume of exchanges surpassed this significant milestone was in September 2022, totaling $1.03 trillion. Furthermore, the month-over-month increase in trading volume across exchanges also set a new monthly record since May 2022 when the trading volume reached $1.35 trillion. Binance led in market share in December, accounting for 39.3% of the monthly trading volume with a total of $432.7 billion, followed by Upbit at 8.3%, equivalent to $91.8 billion, and OKX at 8%, totaling $87.5 billion.
