Korean National Tax Service has fined Wemade 50 billion Korean won for its involvement in virtual currency.Wemade announced that the Comprehensive Corporate Tax Investigation Results from 2019 to 2022 by the National Tax Service resulted in an additional tax of 53.69 billion Korean won being levied. This amount is the sum of money collected from Wemade and its subsidiary, Wemade Tree.According to reports, the National Tax Service conducted a tax investigation into the virtual currency WEMIX issued and used by Wemade and Wemade Tree in the past, and decided to levy additional taxes.According to Bitget market data, WEMIX briefly fell to 2.6806 US dollars and is now priced at 2.769 US dollars, with a 24-hour decline of 5.56%.
