In the past 12 months, investors have poured a large amount of money into AI startups, while companies in other industries have encountered setbacks. According to PitchBook data, venture capitalists conducted approximately 15,000 transactions in the United States in 2023, with a total investment amount of $170.6 billion, reaching the lowest level since 2019 and declining by about 30% compared to 2022. This trend is not limited to the United States; global venture capital has also declined. Globally, investors invested $345.7 billion in startups last year, a decrease of 35% compared to 2022 and the lowest record since 2017.
