Bitcoin core developer: Dashjr's proposal has no hope of reaching a consensus that everyone can accept
Long-term Bitcoin core developer Luke Dashjr failed to garner enough support for the proposed "error fix" in the Bitcoin code, which would fundamentally end Ordinals and Inscriptions on the blockchain.
There is disagreement among Bitcoin developers on this issue, and without consensus from the majority, the decentralized nature of the blockchain does not allow for any modifications to the code. Bitcoin core developer Ava Chow stated that Dashjr's proposal is "controversial," and the debate has reached a stalemate. In its current state, there is no hope for this proposal to reach a conclusion that everyone can accept.
