Report: Web3 developer activity reaches all-time high in 2023
Alchemy has released its Web3 Development Report for 2023, which states that developer activity in Web3 will reach an all-time high in that year. The installation volume of Ethereum and wallet SDKs has reached a historic high for the fifth consecutive year, with a year-on-year growth of 31% and 126% respectively. Similarly, the number of EVM smart contracts created on the Ethereum mainnet, Arbitrum, Optimism, and Polygon in 2023 has increased by 303% year-on-year. The report states that the stable growth of developer activity will help drive new rollup frameworks, making blockchain settlements more efficient, improving user experience through account abstraction, and is expected to bring new use cases covering logistics, restaurants, and content identity verification.
