Ronin chain launches sponsorship transaction function, Neo upgrade and Miko hard fork proceed synchronously
On February 11th, Ronin Chain announced that the upcoming Neo (v2.7.1) upgrade and Miko hard fork will introduce the sponsored transaction feature. This feature allows a transaction initiated by one address to be paid for by another address. The upgrade is expected to launch in sync with the Miko hard fork at block 32367400 on February 26th. Sponsored transactions will provide new possibilities for game studios on the Ronin Chain, such as covering Gas fees for new players, serving as a powerful tool for Web3 game user acquisition, and opening up new reward pathways for existing players. All developers running validation nodes or RPC nodes are required to complete the upgrade before February 26th to ensure a smooth transition to the new version.
