Telegram to sell TON at a discount to long-term investors to limit its token position to 10%
February 29 - In response to community concerns that its Toncoin holdings may be too concentrated, Telegram has announced that it will take new steps to limit its position in the TON supply to approximately 10 per cent. The company plans to sell its excess Toncoin holdings to long-term investors at below-market prices, and the shares will be subject to a one- to four-year lock-up and linear unlocking programme as a way to reduce free float in the market, stabilise the ecosystem and reduce volatility.
