On March 3rd, Jason Les, the CEO of mining company Riot Platforms, stated in an interview that the cost of Bitcoin mining for Riot Platforms in 2023 will be $7539, and Riot's 24-year strategy is to mine more Bitcoin. Les emphasized that the push of Bitcoin spot ETF has brought in a large amount of funds to Bitcoin, supporting the price growth and benefiting miners. Les said that halving is beneficial to mining companies because it raises the price of Bitcoin, which is the core of their business model.
Earlier, on February 23, mining company Riot Platforms announced its full-year financial performance for 2023, with a total revenue of $280.7 million and output of 6626 Bitcoin, with a computing power capacity of up to 12.4EH/s.
