The initial jobless claims data in the United States remains at historically low levels
According to data from the US Department of Labor on March 7th, the number of initial jobless claims in the United States remained at a historically low level, which is the latest evidence of a vibrant labor market recovery. The data released by the US Department of Labor on Thursday showed that for the week ending March 2nd, initial jobless claims remained roughly unchanged at 217,000 people. This figure is consistent with economists' median forecast. The number of continued jobless claims rose to 1.91 million people in the week ending February 24th.
