Tether launches open source software platform Pear Runtime
Paolo Ardoino, the CEO of cryptocurrency company Tether, said he hopes to use the same technology that disrupted the music industry in 1999 to break the "monopoly" of Amazon, Microsoft, and Google in cloud computing servers. To achieve this, the Tether CEO announced the launch of an open-source software platform called Pear Runtime, which allows developers to build peer-to-peer (P2P) applications.
