SEBI CEO: Investors may turn to cryptocurrencies if India’s traditional regulated markets fail to provide tokenization and instant settlement
Madhabi PuriBuch, CEO of SEBI, stated that if traditional regulated markets cannot provide tokenization and instant settlement, Indian investors may turn to cryptocurrency. In order to compete with cryptocurrency, instant settlement is needed. If our well-regulated markets cannot compete with the world of cryptocurrency and cannot provide tokenization and instant settlement in the medium term, let alone in the long term, investors should be expected to take action.
