After the upgrade of Dencun, the cost of zkSync Era sorter has been reduced by about 88%
L2BEAT researcher donnoh.eth revealed data showing that before using Blob, the cost of zkSync Era sequencer using Calldata was around 0.115 ETH; after using Blob, its cost dropped to about 0.013 ETH, a decrease of approximately 88%. Currently, zkSync Era is the first L2 to use Blob, and Starknet also supports it. More projects will follow in the next few days. BlockBeats notes: With Ethereum completing the Dencun upgrade and various L2 network versions updating to support EIP-4844, they will transition from using expensive "calldata" methods to send data to Ethereum to more cost-effective "blobs" transaction types, thereby significantly reducing costs.
