Solidity releases v0.8.25, makes cancun the default EVM version in the compiler
The Ethereum smart contract development language Solidity has released Solidity v0.8.25. This update is relatively small and mainly focuses on the Dencun upgrade that occurred yesterday. The default EVM version in the compiler is now cancun, and Solidity v0.8.25 also saves a lot of contract gas usage by better utilizing the MCOPY opcode (the expected reduction is very small) and fixes the issue that may cause bytecode to be larger than required.
