ETH supply decrease rate since merger is 0.246%
According to CryptoQuant data, as of mid-week, the total supply of Ethereum has dropped to the lowest level since August 2022. Shortly after that date, Ethereum underwent its most significant upgrade in history, transitioning from proof-of-work to proof-of-stake, which is called "the merge".
In addition, the speed of the decline in ETH supply is currently the fastest since May 2023. According to Ultrasound.money data, over the past 30 days, the ETH supply has been decreasing at a rate of 0.872% per year. In comparison, since the merge, the decline rate has been 0.246%.
