Zone, a blockchain payments company, announced the closing of an $8.5 million seed round led by Flourish Ventures and TLcom Capital, with participation from Digital Money Group (DCG), VKAV (Verod-Kepple Africa Ventures) and Alter Global. The new financing will be used to further expand its network coverage in Africa, connecting more banks and financial services companies. A significant portion of the proceeds are committed to a comprehensive thematic program to test the company's cross-border capabilities, scheduled for this year 2025. Focusing on this, the company is committed to building a blockchain-based decentralized payments infrastructure for financial services across the continent and beyond.
