This information pertains to non-liquid assets that GPIF does not currently invest in, including typical crypto assets like Bitcoin, as well as gold, forests, and farmland. Currently, GPIF has diversified investments in traditional assets such as domestic and foreign stocks and bonds, as well as alternative assets like infrastructure and real estate. As of the end of December 2023, its asset management scale is approximately 225 trillion yen (about $1.5 trillion). It is important to note that this announcement is for obtaining information and does not indicate that the company will expand its investment targets in the future. According to presentation materials, the company will consider whether to conduct future research based on the collected information.
