Galaxy Digital to launch cryptocurrency ETP in European market in coming weeks
Leon Marshall, CEO of Galaxy Digital's European business, announced in a panel discussion at the Blockworks 2024 Digital Asset Summit in London on Tuesday that the company will launch a new cryptocurrency exchange traded product (ETP) in Europe in the "coming weeks" in collaboration with DWS. ETP is a collective term for investment products listed on exchanges, including exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Another type of ETP is exchange-traded notes (ETNs), which the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) opened the door to approving for institutional investors last week. Last April, Galaxy Digital partnered with asset management company DWS to develop ETPs that enable Europeans to invest in digital assets through traditional brokerage accounts.
