EU financial market regulator publishes first final report under MiCA regulations
The European Union's financial markets regulator on Monday published the first in a series of final reports on rules under the bloc's landmark Markets in Digital Assets Act (MiCA) regulations, accompanied by a third consultation paper package. The report from the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), which continues last year's round of consultations, includes proposals for the information required for authorization that the regulator will ask firms to provide. The report also includes requirements for firms to establish the provision of crypto services and the intention to acquire crypto assets, as well as how service providers should handle complaints.
