Bundesbank: Digital euro may be launched in 2028/29
Mars Finance News, Dr. Joachim Nagel, President of the Deutsche Bundesbank, said in a speech this week that the European Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) may be launched in 2028/2029. Previously, European Central Bank (ECB) President Christine Lagarde, former ECB President Fabio Panetta and Bank of France President François Villeroy François Villeroy de Galhau has mentioned 2026 as a potential launch date for the digital euro.
