Samsung Next Invests in Vancouver-based Decentralized Infrastructure Startup MetaBlox
Samsung Next has invested in Vancouver-based startup Metablox, which aims to expand its market presence and enhance its operational capabilities with the funds. Metablox is developing Roam, a protocol that enables users to access public WiFi networks using their decentralized identifiers and verifiable credentials. This creates a global WiFi OpenRoaming network that eliminates the need for repeated log-ins and registrations. Metablox is a portfolio company of NFT Technologies Inc. and the amount of the investment was not disclosed.
