zkSync is launching the zkSync Node Beta version, with a more simplified setup process and lower hardware requirements
On May 14th, zkSync Developers announced the release of the zkSync Node Beta version, which features a simplified setup process and lower hardware requirements. The zkSync node is a read-only replica of the main node that anyone can run. This version will significantly improve developer experience with features such as single-line Docker setup, synchronization with the main node, and operation on consumer-grade hardware. In addition, zkSync Developers stated they are developing a trimming feature to reduce storage space requirements for the zkSync Node Beta. In the long term, as part of decentralized work efforts, it will allow the zkSync Node to act as an orderer and validator.
