Sei v2 is now available to developers and early adopters
May 27, 2011 - Sei has said on Platform X that the first parallel EVM blockchain is now available to builders and early adopters, and that the Sei v2 upgrade has entered the second phase of its release (Alpha release). Validators have upgraded their software to bring Sei V2 to the mainnet. Existing applications and tokens will continue to function as before. The release is planned in three phases, with the current phase of the rollout aimed at achieving three goals: minimizing risk; setting expectations; and optimizing performance.
In previous news, Sei tweeted that it had voted to approve Proposal 55, "Upgrade to V2." The Sei V2 mainnet upgrade will take place on May 27th. As previously announced, Sei will roll out the V2 upgrade in three phases, aiming to bring online the first highly scalable, parallelized EVM. The V2 upgrade will be divided into three phases: Governance, Alpha Release, and V2 Ready.
