Up to 88% of deep fake cases in 2023 will occur in the cryptocurrency industry
According to a report from verification company Sumsub, as much as 88% of deepfake cases will occur in the cryptocurrency industry by 2023. Between 2022 and 2023, global deepfake incidents will increase tenfold, with North America and the Asia-Pacific region leading the way. Last week, when an advertisement appeared on social media, featuring Lee Hsien Loong selling guaranteed return cryptocurrency investments for a company called Quantum AI, Lee stated that the videos were deeply fake, with false audio overlaid on videos of his earlier speeches.
