Biden may adjust digital asset strategy ahead of Trump debate
President Biden may soften his stance on cryptocurrencies in an effort to garner voter support. Despite the Biden administration's increased regulation of crypto companies, he may accept bitcoin campaign donations as the 2024 election nears and has expressed a willingness to work with Congress on a regulatory framework. President Trump has railed against Bitcoin during his presidency, calling it "based on the sky," but launched the NFT series in December 2022 and announced that his campaign would accept cryptocurrency donations. Both Biden and Trump are courting cryptocurrency voters, mostly young professionals from Generation Z and Millennials. The two candidates' positions will first come into direct contact during the June 27th presidential debate.
