Odaily News Solana derivatives protocol Zeta Markets announced on the X platform that it plans to launch Zeta X, a decentralized derivatives trading layer 2 built for the Solana ecosystem, on the mainnet in the first quarter of 2025, and released a white paper. Zeta X will use Solanas L1 for data availability and settlement, while processing execution through an off-chain zkVM-compatible matching engine. This design will achieve CEX-like performance on the chain for the first time, while taking into account speed and availability without compromising security and transparency. Zeta Markets newly launched token ZEX will also serve as the native token of Zeta X.
