The number of Bitcoin holders for all types of coins has remained above one million for 13 consecutive months
According to data from Glassnode, the milestone of 1 million "wholecoiners" (the number of Bitcoin full-coin holders) was first achieved on May 13, 2023. On January 1 this year, the number of wholecoiner wallet addresses reached a historical high, with the number of wallets holding one or more Bitcoins slightly above 1,024,000. Despite Bitcoin's price doubling in May 2023, the number of wallet addresses holding one or more Bitcoins still stands at around 1,010,800. Of the currently circulating 19.7 million Bitcoins, there are about 2.48 million (worth $152 billion) stored in large centralized exchanges such as Binance and Coinbase. In addition to that up to three million BTCs (valued at $80 billion and accounting for approximately17% of total circulation supply) have "disappeared forever".
