U.S. Senator Cory Booker reportedly noted that nearly half of the CFTC's enforcement cases are related to cryptocurrencies, which is an "extraordinary" percentage. In response, CFTC Chairman Rostin Behnam replied that the CFTC's need to regulate a market over which it has no jurisdiction and which it does not have access to capital is a huge challenge for the agency and puts both markets at risk.
