U.S. core CPI retreats to three-year low in June
On July 11, the U.S. unquartered core CPI for June was recorded at an annualized rate of 3.3%, lower than the market expectation of 3.4%, and fell to the lowest level since April 2021.The quarterly core CPI for June was recorded at a monthly rate of 0.1%, the lowest level since August 2021, compared with the market expectation of 0.2%.
