Trump assassination pushes election odds to all-time high, data shows
After Saturday's assassination attempt, former President Donald Trump's chances of winning the U.S. presidential election have increased considerably, with Polymarket data showing that the "yes" share of contracts on whether Trump will win the election rose from $0.60 to $0.70. That means traders see a 70% chance of Trump winning the November election. Biden's chances of winning the election meanwhile fell from 30% to 17%, according to Polymarket. On the other hand, Polymarket traders said that Vice President Kamala Harris has only a 6% chance of winning.
