Odaily News Palantir’s Joe Lonsdale and cryptocurrency billionaires Cameron Winklevoss and Tyler Winklevoss are major contributors to a pro-Donald Trump super PAC that is also backed by Elon Musk. America PAC raised $8.8 million in the second quarter, spent $7.8 million and had just under $1 million in cash in early July, according to its most recent filing with the Federal Election Commission. Musk didn’t donate until July, so he wasn’t included in the report, which covers contributions from the committee’s inception on May 22 through the end of June, according to a person familiar with the matter. The billionaire posted a post on Platform X in support of Trump after the former president was injured while speaking at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday night. Lonsdale donated $1 million through his company, Lonsdale Enterprises Inc. The Winklevoss brothers each donated $250,000. Other donors included Joe Craft, CEO of Alliance Resource Partners, who gave $1 million. His wife, Kelly Craft, served as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations during the Trump administration. The donations show that Trumps support is growing among big donors in the technology and financial sectors. (Bloomberg)
