Zimbabwe mining company launches blockchain-based gold tracking system
Kuvimba Mining House, a mining company in Zimbabwe, has introduced a Blockchain-based mine-to-market traceability system for its gold production in the country. The system ensures that all of Kuvimba's gold is traceable from the mine to the international market. The country's largest gold producer, Kuvimba, emphasizes transparency, legality, and responsible mining. The Comstack system uses blockchain technology to improve traceability and compliance with international standards. The system has been implemented at the Freda Rebecca and Jenna mines and is planned to be expanded to other minerals as production scales up.
