BlockTower Capital's Chief Information Officer: The idea of the U.S. government holding strategic reserves of Bitcoin is beneficial to its price
Ari Paul, Chief Information Officer of BlockTower Capital, stated that the idea of the U.S. government holding a strategic reserve of Bitcoin could potentially be beneficial for its price, but it's unrealistic to actually implement in the short term. "I would bet 10:1 against the U.S. treating Bitcoin as a strategic reserve within the next four years," he said. That being said, I think Trump might say this and it would be very favorable for Bitcoin's medium-term trend," Paul further explained that while the next president might say they have no intention of selling any Bitcoins currently held by the government, this does not mean they are actually "establishing a strategic Bitcoin reserve."
