Base hits all-time high in number of transactions and active addresses on chain
According to the data, the number of transactions and the number of active addresses on the Base chain have both hit record highs. 3.28 million transactions were recorded on the Base chain on July 15, and by the end of the week on July 19, the number had climbed to 3.52 million. By the end of the week of July 19, the number had climbed to 3.52 million, with an average daily growth of about 1.8% during the week. While the number of transactions has surged, the number of active addresses on Base has also hit an all-time high. The number of active addresses increased from 567,000 on July 15 to nearly 650,000 on Friday, July 19, averaging about 3.5% growth per day over the same period. At the same time, Base's fees spiked significantly, with fees collected on July 20 reaching their highest single-day total in over a month at $177,000 USD. Base continues to lag behind Arbitrum in terms of total on-chain lock-up value (TVL), which stood at $1.77 billion at press time, compared to Arbitrum's TVL of $3.25 billion.
