Fantom has been renamed to Sonic Labs, and the EVM chain Sonic will be launched in Q4
Fantom has announced on X that it has been renamed to Sonic Labs. Sonic Labs plans to gain support by introducing a large-scale incentive program, using the S token. This new token will enter the ecosystem through massive airdrops, simplified staking, and incentive programs. Although the transition from Fantom to Sonic Labs is complete, the launch of Sonic will not be until the fourth quarter. According to the description provided on Sonic Lab's startup page, Sonic is a Layer-1 platform with a secure gateway to Ethereum.
