Base announces winning projects of "Onchain Summer" hackathon
On August 2nd, Base announced the winning projects of the "Onchain Summer" global online hackathon. The event was held from May 31st to June 30th and attracted over 7500 developers from around the world who submitted more than 1250 projects. Due to the number of projects and the creativity exceeding expectations, Base increased the prize pool from 200 ETH to 250 ETH.
The winning projects cover multiple fields including payments, business, gaming, creator tools, social platforms, trading, and discovery. In addition, Base also set up a reward of 40 ETH for the successful integration of smart wallets, OnchainKit, validation, and Coinbase Paymaster, and allocated an additional 20 ETH to hundreds of developers who submitted projects but did not win.
