Genesis Trading has transferred a total of 32,256 BTC ($2.12 billion) and 256,775 ETH ($838 million) to multiple addresses over the past three days, according to monitoring, and may be in the process of going into bankruptcy to pay off its debts.
As previously reported by ChainCatcher, Genesis Wallet transferred approximately 14,000 BTC ($900 million) and 156,000 ETH ($480 million) through a transit address in the last hour, suspected to be undergoing bankruptcy liquidation proceedings, according to Solid Intel.
According to Arkham, the Genesis Trading address currently holds around $14 million in crypto assets, of which only 229 are ETH (worth $720,000) and around $10 million worth of BTC.
Bankrupt crypto lender Genesis reportedly received court approval in May of this year to repay billions of dollars in digital assets and cash to its creditors.
